2. Bhakra Dam – Himachal Pradesh

The first Prime minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru, described it as the ”New Temple of Resurgent India”. The infrastructure of the dam attracts tourists from across the country.

3. Sardar Sarovar Dam – Gujarat

It was constructed in the year 1955. It is one of the biggest dams in India and is also a multipurpose hydro-electric and irrigation project in India.
