Combiflam Tablet Dosage

  • Take your Combiflam tablets only after taking your meals to avoid having an upset stomach.
  • You must always take Combiflam tablets as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Do not stop the medicine until the period specified by your doctor is over.
  • Make sure you do not take the medicine, in more or less quantity as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Do not ever take an overdose of Combiflam tablets. If you happen to take an overdose, consult your doctor immediately.
  • If you miss a dose of Combiflam and you remember that you have missed the dose within a short span of time, you may take the missed dose. However, if it is the time for your next dose, do not take a double dose of Combiflam.
  • In case you experience any side-effects, you must immediately consult your doctor.
  • Do not take Combiflam tablets if you have consumed alcohol.

Combiflam Side Effects

The side effects of Combiflam tablets can be divided into three categories – Rare, Mild, and Severe.

The Rare Side Effects include:

  • Bloody & cloudy urine
  • Loss of Appetite
  • Constipation (rare or severe)
  • Decreased urine output (rare or severe)
  • Yellow colored eyes or skin (rare or severe)

The Mild Side Effects include:

  • Rashes
  • Vomiting or Nausea

How do Combiflam Tablets Work?

Combiflam blocks the production of prostaglandin. Prostaglandin is released in the body during pain. This thus increases the pain in your body along with increasing the flow of the blood, sweating, and thereby heat loss.

Combiflam if used together with other medicines may increase your chances of incurring side effects. It is thus advised that you must tell your physician about your problems and the medicines that you consume before you take Combiflam. Also, you must remember that you must not take Combiflam if you are about to undergo a test. Combiflam may interfere with the results of your laboratory tests.

What is the appropriate dosage of Combiflam for kids?

The dose of Combiflam suspension is as follows: 10 mg/kg body weight 3 times daily.

How long does it take for Combiflam tablets to have an impact?

It usually takes around 30 minutes from the time of taking the dose of Combiflam tablets to show the effect.

Is it safe to take Combiflam two times a day for 5 days at a stretch? As I’m suffering from cold, I was asked to take 2 to 5 tablets daily. Is it safe?

If you consume paracetamol & NSAID for the duration you are advised, it would not cause any renal damage.

But in my opinion, you should start with the tab levecetrizine 5mg OD for 3days then, SOS in case of allergic rhinitis (with nasal decongetant).

The effect of Combiflam tablets usually last for around 6 hrs.

Last but not the least, Combiflam tablets should not be broken, chewed, or crushed. The complete tablet should be swallowed as a whole with water.
