LalBagugcha Raja, also known as King of Lalbaug, here the lord Ganesha’s idol is one of the tallest and expensive statues. The iconic Ganesh Mandal started in 1934 in Lalbaug area. Millions of followers visit the pandal to relish the festivity from across the world.

Ganesh GalliCha Raja Pandal

Set near in Central Mumbai, the pandal mimics the themes of the renowned temples across the country. Also known as Mumbaicha Raja, it is one the most visited and old mandal, founded in 1928. This year the pandal will complete its 96 years of hosting the festival, to celebrate the milestone 22 feet tall statue of Ganesh Ji will be established in the pandal. The pandal is located in Grant Road Khetwadi Gali no 12 in South Mumbai and hosts Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav every year at magnificent scale. Bappa idol is decorated with gold and diamond. In 2000, it featured the tallest statue of Lord Ganesha, the height of the idol was measured to be 40 feet tall, and every year the community tries to outreach the previous height.

This Mandal was started in 1951 on Vijay Dashmi. Last year more than 66,000 pujas were performed and approximately 8, 000 Tulabhar was offered to the lord. Samiti will celebrate the festival for five days from 19th to 23rd of September.

AndheriCha Raja

Located in Azad Nagar, the Sarvjanik Utsav is the prime festival of Mumbai Suburbs. In 2015 the samiti completed its 50 years. To celebrate its golden jubilee, the pandal was decorated with dazzling colours and lights. The clothes of Ganesha idol were designed by the international designer where the only Mukut cost was over 1.25 crores. Samiti also offered 900 kg’s of ladoos to the idol. This year unlike other mandals the Ganpati visarjan will take place after 16 days.
